Once A Shark, Always A Shark

About Us

The school philosophy reflects the traditional three R's and adds a T, for keeping pace with technological learning. The Bay Head School creates a learning environment that fosters the curiosity, imagination, and intelligence of children. Our goal is to give children a comfortable environment in which to explore and learn about their world. We want our students to develop a love of learning that will give them the self-confidence and motivation to succeed in their lives. Our small class size enables us to accomplish our goals.

NJSLA Testing Schedule

Bay Head School District will administer the state testing program, The New Jersey Student Learning Assessment (NJSLA) to all students in grades 3 through 8 during the month of April/May. These assessments are required by the state to be administered in the spring of this school year in order to fulfill the federal statewide assessment requirement for the 2024-2025 school year. Students in grades 3-8 will take assessments in English language arts (ELA) and mathematics, and students in grades 5 and 8 will also take the science assessment. The New Jersey Student Learning Assessment (NJSLA) measures your child’s academic progress as correlated with the New Jersey Student Learning Standards. Please read the following letter from our Testing Coordinators on the upcoming assessment schedule.
